The Honey House Press Emergent Voice Award Program
At Honey House Press, we believe every compelling story deserves the chance to find its readers.
The program was originally offered by invitation only. The Emergent Voice Award enters its first public year in 2025.
This selective initiative was created to uplift debut and early-career authors who show exceptional promise but may not yet have the platform, experience, or access to pursue traditional publishing.
We’re seeking manuscripts that move us with their originality and heart—even if the writer is just beginning their publishing journey.
What matters most is your distinct perspective and your dedication to growing as a storyteller. This selective program offers tailored support to authors whose manuscripts demonstrate voice, vision, and potential, and who are open to editorial guidance and creative mentorship.
We especially encourage writers who are thinking beyond a single book and committed to long-term literary development.
This program functions as a creative incubator: a place for dedicated mentorship, meaningful editorial collaboration, and a community of fellow writers who understand the journey. Our aim is to help you build the skills, confidence, and connections that support sustainable authorship—whether your path leads to traditional publishing, independent release, or somewhere in between.
Above all, this program exists to help authors refine their authentic voices and deepen their trust in their own creative instincts.
We currently select up to two writers per calendar year and reserve the right to award fewer.
